Sail is a simple, sharable interface — like your computer's desktop — built on top of the web. Instead of drowning you in a thousand different chats, screen shares, and links, Sail provides you a single & persistent place to share ideas, make decisions, and move forward towards a common goal.
For almost two years, I worked closely with a small, dedicated team to bring Sail to life. The complexity of building a collaborative tool like Sail is deceptively high, and keeping things simple is a challenge. Every element and feature of the user experience required extensive prototyping, product development and collaboration with a small dedicated team.
The level of engineering and design innovation required to bring Sail to life was significant, and during the process we had to come up with numerous new UI and engineering innovations. We worked tirelessly to refine the designs until we reached a foundation we felt strongly about.
